Prince Pipes and Fittings Ltd. is seeking a dedicated, proactive, and safety-conscious Safety Officer to join our Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team at our manufacturing plant in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining statutory compliance, mitigating workplace risks, leading safety training programs, and fostering a zero-harm, high-compliance safety culture across plant operations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
Statutory Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict compliance with all statutory safety regulations, factory acts, and company EHS policies.
Risk Assessment & Inspections: Conduct regular workplace safety inspections, hazard audits, job safety analyses (JSA), and risk assessments.
Incident Management: Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses using structured root-cause analysis (RCA) techniques.
Safety Training & Drills: Organize safety inductions for new hires, regular refresher training sessions, and periodic emergency mock drills.
Permit-to-Work (PTW) Systems: Implement and strictly enforce Permit-to-Work (PTW) protocols and monitor third-party contractor safety compliance.
Documentation & Audit Support: Maintain statutory safety documentation, maintain EHS records, and assist during regulatory authority inspections.
Continuous Improvement: Drive plant safety awareness campaigns, 5S practices, Kaizen initiatives, and safety continuous improvement projects.
Fire Safety & PPE Management: Monitor fire safety equipment, emergency preparedness systems, and ensure 100% compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
Safety Culture: Promote a proactive, preventative safety-first culture across all operational departments.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
1. Educational Background
Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Science from a recognized institution.
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from an accredited or state-recognized institute.
Fire & Safety Certification is an added advantage.
2. Experience
2 to 5 years of core EHS / Safety Officer experience in a manufacturing facility.
3. Desired Skills & Core Competencies
Deep technical knowledge of Industrial Safety regulations and statutory compliance laws.
Hands-on experience with HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment), JSA, PPE management, and incident investigation methodologies.
Strong familiarity with ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and integrated EHS management systems.
Strong communication, analytical, observational, and leadership skills.
