Key Responsibilities & Job Description
Robotic Welding Operations: Perform robotic teaching, path programming, and troubleshooting on automated welding systems.
Welding Process Supervision: Oversee MIG welding (Metal Inert Gas) and Spot welding operations to meet strict automotive manufacturing standards and structural specifications.
Shop Floor Management: Lead daily shift operations, monitor line efficiency, allocate floor manpower, and ensure adherence to safety and quality benchmarks.
Production Activities: Manage routine shop floor production tasks, minimize component defects, reduce cycle times, and support overall plant operations.
Continuous Improvement: Implement process optimizations, adhere to 5S principles, and reduce operational downtime.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
1. Educational Background
Diploma or B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (or an equivalent relevant specialization).
2. Work Experience
6 to 8 years of hands-on technical experience in a manufacturing weld shop environment (preferably within the automotive components industry).
3. Mandatory & Key Skills
Robotic Teaching & Knowledge: Hands-on experience with teach pendant operation and robotic welding path programming is mandatory.
Strong technical expertise in MIG Welding and Spot Welding processes.
Proven supervisory skills in shop floor management, shift planning, and team oversight.
Familiarity with weld defect analysis, quality inspection, and workplace safety protocols.
