Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is hiring for multiple Engineering positions at its Plant 3 facility in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
The company is looking for experienced professionals as well as freshers for roles related to Water System, Electrical & Instrumentation, HVAC, Plant Maintenance, and Electrical Engineering.
This is a suitable opportunity for candidates with ITI, Diploma, or relevant technical qualifications who want to build their career in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Akums operates pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities with engineering and utility functions supporting regulated production environments.

1. Water System Operator
Number of Positions: 2
Experience: 2–5 Years
Department: Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor water treatment and distribution systems.
Monitor system parameters and equipment performance.
Carry out routine inspections and operational checks.
Maintain proper records and documentation.
Ensure water systems operate safely and efficiently.
Support maintenance and troubleshooting activities when required.
Water-system roles in pharmaceutical manufacturing can involve systems such as RO, DM, softener, ETP/STP and purified-water systems.
2. Electrician / Instrumentation
Number of Positions: 2
Experience: 2–5 Years
Department: Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
Inspect electrical equipment and installations.
Support preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Handle electrical systems and related equipment safely.
Assist with instrumentation-related maintenance activities.
Maintain required maintenance records.
3. HVAC Operator
Number of Positions: 2
Experience: 2–5 Years
Department: Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor HVAC systems.
Check HVAC equipment and operating parameters.
Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting.
Support preventive maintenance activities.
Maintain proper operational records.
Follow safety and workplace procedures.
4. Fitter – Plant Maintenance
Number of Positions: 2
Experience: 2–5 Years
Department: Engineering
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
Inspect mechanical equipment and identify maintenance requirements.
Assist with installation, repair, and replacement of mechanical components.
Support regular maintenance activities.
Follow safety procedures during maintenance work.
Maintain proper maintenance records.
5. ITI Fresher – Electrical
Number of Positions: 3
Experience: Fresher
Qualification: ITI Electrical / relevant technical qualification
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the engineering team with electrical maintenance activities.
Support routine inspection of electrical equipment.
Learn preventive and breakdown maintenance procedures.
Follow workplace safety and technical instructions.
Maintain basic maintenance records.
Work under the guidance of experienced engineering professionals.
6. Diploma Fresher – Electrical
Number of Positions: 3
Experience: Fresher
Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering / relevant qualification
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in electrical maintenance and engineering activities.
Support inspection and monitoring of electrical systems.
Learn troubleshooting and preventive maintenance procedures.
Coordinate with senior engineering team members.
Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Develop practical experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should have the relevant technical qualification and experience according to the position applied for.
For Experienced Positions:
2–5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in engineering, maintenance, utility, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation, or plant maintenance will be beneficial.
Pharmaceutical industry experience may be an advantage.
For Fresher Positions:
ITI Electrical candidates can apply for the ITI Fresher position.
Diploma Electrical candidates can apply for the Diploma Fresher position.
Freshers should have basic technical knowledge and a willingness to learn.
