Key Responsibilities & Job Description
Tool Maintenance: Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of press tools, molds, dies, and relevant machinery.
Jigs & Fixture Maintenance: Inspect, repair, and maintain assembly jigs, welding fixtures, and machining fixtures to meet strict quality and tolerance standards.
Tool Room Operations: Handle day-to-day tool room activities, perform troubleshooting, reduce downtime, and support overall shop-floor manufacturing processes.
Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvements to extend tool life, optimize standard operating procedures, and adhere to workplace safety protocols.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
1. Educational Background
Diploma or B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent relevant specialization).
2. Work Experience
6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing tool room environment (specifically within the automotive component industry).
3. Key Skills
Strong technical expertise in tool design maintenance, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Ability to diagnose root causes of tooling failure and implement fast solutions.
Familiarity with engineering drawings, precise measurement instruments, and quality checks.
