Job Description
We are hiring for the position of Assistant Manager – Mechanical Maintenance for an automotive manufacturing environment in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring the availability and reliability of machinery, supporting preventive maintenance programs, and coordinating with maintenance and production teams.
This position is suitable for experienced mechanical professionals who have strong knowledge of industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and team management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage mechanical maintenance activities for CNC and VMC machines.
Plan and implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities.
Support Kaizen implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct and monitor Preventive & Predictive Maintenance (PPT) activities.
Identify mechanical issues and ensure timely troubleshooting.
Monitor machine performance and maintenance requirements.
Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize machine downtime.
Manage maintenance teams and allocate work effectively.
Maintain records related to maintenance activities and machine performance.
Support improvement of machine reliability and operational efficiency.
Ensure maintenance activities are carried out according to company procedures and safety requirements.
Guide team members and monitor their performance.
Required Skills
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge.
Experience in a manufacturing/automotive environment.
Knowledge of CNC and VMC machine maintenance.
Understanding of TPM and preventive maintenance practices.
Knowledge of Kaizen and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with Surface Treatment & Heat Treatment processes.
Strong team handling and manpower management skills.
Good leadership and communication skills.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Educational Qualification
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Required
8–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and be capable of leading maintenance activities in a production-oriented environment. Candidates with experience in CNC/VMC maintenance, TPM, Kaizen and preventive maintenance will be preferred.
